Here, on this "Revelation 13" site we will now discuss the state of Israel in terms of Bible prophecy.
Note that in Genesis 12, God's promise to Abraham that he would father a great nation, the nation of Israel, and also this can be interpreted that those who curse Israel God will curse, and those who bless Israel God will bless. That is why the U.S. has done so well in recent years, because the U.S, has always defended Israel.
Genesis 12, King James version:
"1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed."
Here we will consider one of the recent spectacular celestial events: Comet Hale-Bopp in 1997, and how this comet is a sign for us of the importance of Israel. Comet Hale-Bopp was a spectacular comet that was seen in the Northern Hemisphere during March and April 1997. I believe that Comet Hale-Bopp was a celestial messenger, and to understand the message we will consider the circumstances of its discovery, because this is a clue to its meaning.
Comet Hale-Bopp was discovered simultaneously by Alan Hale in New Mexico and Thomas Bopp in Arizona, on July 23, 1995. An unusual coincidence is that the two locations of discovery on the same day are both at the same exact latitude North:
Cloudcroft, New Mexico 32.96 N 105.75 W
Stanfield, Arizona 32.88 N 111.96 W
Located near the midpoint (32.92 N 108.85 W) between these 2 locations is the town of Lordsburg, New Mexico. Lordsburg-- a name implying a divine message. Lordsburg is located in the Pyramid Valley, bringing to mind the Bible's old testament. Lordsburg has geothermal resources, hot water underground, an unusual natural resource. To interpret the longitude number for Lordsburg, we will convert it to a Biblical passage number in the Psalms. Corresponding to 108 W is Psalm 108:4,5, (King James Version):
"For thy mercy is great above the heavens, and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;"
This Biblical passage is certainly appropriate for a comet. And the fact that the comet discovery point is centered near Lordsburg indicates that this comet had a message from God: part of this message is that the U.S. should support and defend Israel, indicated by the comet colors of blue and white being the colors of the flag of the state of Israel.
As I discuss in the section on geographic coordinates, Nazareth, Israel, where Christ was from, is at the same degree North at 32.70 N 35.28 E. And note that you have exactly 144 degrees between the Comet Hale-Bopp midpoint in New Mexico and Nazareth, note that in Revelation 14:1-6 there are discussed the 144 thousand chosen ones, who are descended from the tribes of Israel. And note that Afghanistan is at (170-180 degrees) on the opposite side of the world, at 32.5 degrees North, from Lordsburg, New Mexico, and this corresponds to the evil passages in Revelation 17 about the bloodthirstiness we have seen with Osama bin Laden's (former) rule of Afghanistan: the awful mistreatment of women there, cutting off people's limbs in the stadium as a form of punishment, women being abducted and sold as slaves, young girls not being allowed to go to school, etc.. I think this means that we have seen the greatest demonic evil on earth in Afghanistan with Osama bin Laden, on the opposite site of the world from Lordsburg New Mexico.
If Comet Hale-Bopp is a celestial messenger, then did anything of religious significance occur at the time it peaked in brightness? Was there an event of religious significance near the time of approach of this comet? Yes, there was-- a red heifer (cow) was born in the fall of 1996 in Israel, (and also in March 2002 in Israel), something that has not happened since Biblical times. The ashes of a red heifer are to be used in a purification rite to allow the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem (refer to Biblical passage Numbers 19:2: "Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish..."). The birth of this cow now (its parents are not red) is nothing less then an event of great hope in Israel, and may imply the Messiah will come soon, and it is now time to think about rebuilding the temple (there is a complication-- a Moslem holy site, the Dome of the Rock, is now on the temple mount). It is also interesting that Comet Hale-Bopp was closest to earth on March 23 on Palm Sunday which was also the day of Purim, a Jewish holiday of happy celebration, when there was also a lunar eclipse; and the comet was closest to the sun near Easter. And on April 11, 1997, there was a fire in the Cathedral housing the Shroud of Turin, the cloth which some believe is the burial cloth of Christ. Another way Comet Hale-Bopp may be linked to Biblical events: this comet's previous passage by earth is calculated to be around 2213 B.C. This is near the time that Abraham was born (near 2166 B.C., the exact date is not known). Abraham is considered to be the father of the nation of Israel. And Comet Hale-Bopp had 2 tails-- a white and a blue tail. White and blue are the colors on the flag of Israel. So the white and blue colors of this comet are a sign for us in the U.S. of the importance of the state of Israel, and why its defense should be a top priority for the U.S..
Also note another unusual event that occurred with Comet Hale-Bopp was the rare occurrence of a comet (Comet Hale-Bopp) seen during a solar eclipse seen in Mongolia and Siberia on March 8-9 1997. Such occurrences of a comet seen during a solar eclipse are rare, the previous ones being in 1948 and 1882. In this case the comet seen during a solar eclipse in Mongolia and Siberia may have been a sign of the rise of the Antichrist as Russian President Putin coming to power in 1999. And I think such comets seen during solar eclipses may be connected with Israel, since the previous cases were:
-- During the total solar eclipse of May 17, 1882, in Egypt, a bright comet was seen close to the sun. This was not the same comet as the very bright comet seen in September 1882, but rather was a sungrazing comet that approached the sun from the other side, and and was not seen except during the May 1882 eclipse. Concerning events in the world at that time, refer to my page on 666 day intervals where I discuss how a sequence of events began in 1883. Note that Astrologically there was an unusual pattern in May 1882 with an unusual gathering of planets, with several planets concentrated in Taurus. Note that a significant event in religious history at that time was the beginning of the Zionist movement, to recreate the state of Israel in Palestine. In 1882, Leon Pinsker's pamphlet "Autoemancipation" was published, and it encouraged the Jewish people to create their own nation. Also, another significant event in 1882 was the birth of Franklin D. Roosevelt, whose victory in World War II later led to the creation of Israel in 1948.
-- On November 1, 1948, during a solar eclipse seen in Africa, a comet was seen near the sun. In the history of Israel, the significant event then was that the State of Israel was born in May 1948. Also, near the time of this eclipse Prince Charles of England was born, on Nov. 14, 1948, and note that England freeing Palestine from Moslem control was a key event that later resulted in the creation of the State of Israel in 1948.
Note the historical parallels between Israel and the U.S., which also indicate the importance of the U.S.'s role as the defender of Israel:
-- The U.S. began from 13 colonies, and Israel began from 13 tribes
-- Israel was divided into two countries, Israel and Judah. Today a reborn Israel is united as one nation. And the U.S. went through a period during the Civil War when it was divided into Northern and Southern parts, but was united into one nation by the Northern victory in the Civil War.
I think that the Genesis 12 promise to Abraham, has a second meaning for the U.S.: that the U.S., a nation united by another Abraham, President Lincoln, would become a great nation that would be a blessing to the world.
Recent events concerning Israel:
Oct. 2003. There was discussion in the U.N. about Israel building a fence in the West Bank to keep out these Palestinian terrorists. In my opinion it is a necessary step to have this fence, to control Muslim terrorism.
Nov. 2003. The UN Security Council backed the "Road Map to Peace" plan for an Israeli-Palestinian peace settlement, that is backed by the Quartet of the U.N., U.S., Russia, and the European Union.
Dec. 2003. Israel and Egypt had talks as a step towards a Middle East peace settlement.
Jan. 30, 2004. Israel raid into Bethlehem, a necessary step because of the Muslim terrorist suicide bombings. This is interesting in terms of prophecy because Bethlehem was the birthplace of Christ.
Feb. 2, 2004. The United Nations World Court started debating the legality of the barrier in the West Bank Israel is building to keep out these Palestinian terrorists. This site believes that the U.S. should defend Israel in this, because this barrier is necessary for Israel to keep these Muslim terrorist suicide bombers out. In terms of prophecy, this is significant since this is the first time the U.N. World Court is considering the issue of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Feb. 11, 2004. A magnitude 5 earthquake in Israel. Also see this page on the English King James Bible Code, where I discuss the possibility of the Muslim Dome of the Rock being destroyed by an earthquake, volcano, or meteor, so that a third Jewish Temple can be built on the Temple Mount.
Feb. 14, 2004. A stone wall collapsed, that is next to the Western Wall on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, Israel. It is probable that Muslim construction on the Temple Mount was the cause. This has definite prophecy significance, since the Western Wall is what remains of the Jewish Temple that was on that site in Biblical times.
March 22, 2004. The founder of the Hamas terrorist group was killed by an Israeli missle in Gaza (Sheik Ahmed Yassin).
April 17, 2004. Hamas leader Abdel Aziz Rantisi was killed by an Israeli missle in Gaza.
July 9, 2004. The U.N. World Court ruled that Israel's barrier is illegal, that was built to keep out Palestimnian terrorist suicide bombers. Israel is ignoring this ruling, which is what they should do, since the wall is keeping the terrorist bombers out.
Aug. 31, 2004. 16 Israelis were killed in a suicide bombing on a bus.
Sept. 29, 2004. Israel launches an attack in retaliation.
Oct. 7, 2004. Egyptian resort areas near Israel hit by bombings, many Israelis were killed.
Nov. 11, 2004. Death of Arafat, Palestinian leader.
March 2005. The Red Heifer (cow) born in Israel in March 2002 reached three years old, the age when its ashes can be used for purifying a new Temple in Jerusalem, should Israel decide to build this Temple. Will the Messiah come to Israel in 2008-2012, since he is to burn the Red Heifer? Will this Messiah be the returned Christ to Christians?
April 27, 2005. Russian President Putin visited Israel, see this page on Putin.
July 19, 2005. A protest over the Gaza withdrawal plan, by thousands in Israel.
August 16, 2005. The Israeli army forced Israeli settlers to leave the Gaza area. This evacuation from Gaza was over on August 21.
Oct. 28, 2005. Iran's terrorist supporting President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told more than a million demonstraters in Iran that Israel should be destroyed.
Dec. 8, 2005. Iran's President said that the Holocust of World War II never occurred, and said that the state of Israel should be moved to Europe. See this King James Bible Code page on Iran. Iran is clearly out to destroy both the U.S. and Israel, so strong action is needed.
Dec. 18 2005, Jan. 2006. Prime Minister Sharon hospitalized by strokes, see this King James Bible Code page which gives us hope that he will have a complete recovery.
Jan. 27, 2006. Terrorist party Hamas won the Palestinian parliamentary election. With Hamas in power more Palestinian suicide bomber terrorist attacks could occur. Astrologically significant on Jan. 27 was Saturn/Satan at opposition, its closest approach to earth, an evil omen for this Hamas terrorist state election victory.
March 29, 2006. Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and the centrist Kadima Party were elected in the Israeli elctions.
April 2, 2006. Iran annouced that it had test fired an underwater missle.
April 11, 2006. Iran announced it had produced enriched uranium, a major step in its ABomb Program.
April 17, 2006. A major Palestinian terrorist attack, of a terrorist suicide bomber explosion in a fast food restaurant in Tel Aviv. 9 killed and 65 wounded. And Israel stated in the U.N. that a new "axis of terror" of Iran, Syria, and the Palestinian Hamas government is bringing the world toward world war.
Feb. 10, 2007. The planet Saturn was at opposition, where it is at its closest distance from earth. Clashes with Muslims at the Temple Mount site in Jerusalem. Palestinian Muslims were upset over Israel doing repair work on a ramp to the Temple Mount. The repair work will in no way affect the Mulim Holy Site called the Dome of the Rock, and will not be near it.
Jan. 10-13, 2008. President Bush visited Israel. And there is discussion beginning new Palestinian-Israeli peace talks.
